5 out of 5 stars good!   June 25, 2010

I really enjoy this soundtrack! I think Christopher Wilde is very talented -- great voice...you can especially tell in "Something About the Sunshine" (which is one of my favorite songs on the album). Stubby's "Party Up" is also another favorite of mine. The other artists featured on the album are good, too. Overall, it's a fun CD to listen to!

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic   April 6, 2010

This CD is wonderful. I only wish they had created a DVD to go with it. The movie was a great addition to the Disney lineup. I'm so glad they continue to create made for TV movies using their stars.

5 out of 5 stars surprise! it is good!   March 31, 2010

We have never had cable and really watch little tv, so our family knows little of these stars or their shows. We were on trip and caught part of this movie in a hotel. I actualy enjoyed what I saw. We are waiting to get the dvd this summer because we were not able to see the whole movie.

The young man staring in the film (sorry do not know his name) has great deal of talent. I highly enjoyed the music. I got this for the kids mp3 players and ended up putting the songs on mine as well. The music has no offensive garbage on it, has very catchy lyrics and good music. It may not be the top 40, but I really see this young man (gotta find out his name) going places. And of couse, the young lady (need to find out her name) who sings on this album is quite good as well.

It is a great price for this album from a movie that was made and shown excusivly for the Disney Channel that not many people have seen; which is a shame because it a sweet love story with a good message about being judgmental.

3 out of 5 stars Some Pleasant Surprises   March 6, 2010

I was surprised that there is actually some real talent on this CD and some rather inspired songs. Others on it are just plain fun, while a few in my opinion just didn't deserve to be recorded at all. Three songs on here that have true quality and some real meat to them are "Hero," "Got To Believe," and "What You Mean To Me," sung by a surprisingly good Sterling Knight, who has way more talent than anyone gives him credit for. He's actually the saving grace on this CD. And "Something About the Sunshine" is pretty catchy. I would probably suggest this for any fans of other Disney stars (Selena Gomez, Jonas Brothers, etc.) but also for those of you who like to catch some fun pop tunes. I would give this 3 and 1/2 stars because, despite some redeeming tracks, most of this CD is nothing special.

5 out of 5 stars Great soundtrack to a great movie   February 23, 2010

I recently had the pleasure of catching "Starstruck" on the Disney Channel. I'm not a teenager but do enjoy many of their movies. Princess Protection Program, anything with Selena Gomez.

I think that Sterling Knight is very talented and quite undervalued. I've enjoyed him on "Sonny with a Chance". He has great presence and a wonderful singing voice, which is finally getting showcased in this movie and on this soundtrack. Personally, I think he has way more talent than any of the Jonas Brothers.

Disney, I hope you realize what a talent you have in Sterling. I would love to see more original movies starring him. Also, please show more of "Sonny with a Chance"! It isn't on nearly enough. :)
