After reading the Twilight books, I had to have the music to go with them. I have ordered all the soundtracks for the movies and will order the rest of them when available. Ordering from Amazon is quick and easy, and so far, every link I have ordered from through Amazon has been good to deal with.
As a soundtrack lover, this one is high on my playlist June 28, 2010

After reading some of the negative reviews, I can only guess that people listened to a different soundtrack than I did. I found the work to be of top-notch quality (almost better than the movie itself). I personally would have liked just a little transition between the first two films with one or two familiar melodies from the first score thrown in this one. However, that did not negate my love for this soundtrack. I really enjoyed "Full Moon." I cannot wait for tomorrow and the debut of the Eclipse soundtrack; I have very high expectations.
Twilight Saga New Moon Score June 18, 2010

I absolutely love the New Moon Score by Desplat. The music is classic and elicits the strong emotions of love, fear and conflict in the movie. Yes I was disappointed that the music themes from the first Twilight were not carried in this score. I would have loved to hear Bella's lullaby. Each new director as well as each new composer will bring their interpretations to the Twilight Saga. Desplat's New Moon score is one of those beautiful masterpieces that will out live all of us.
I have listened to Howard Shore's score for Eclipse. Again I am disappointed that Desplat was not used to continue his themes for the Twilight Saga. Howard Shore's music reminds me of Lord of the Rings. I am not hearing the themes for Edward, Jacob and Volturi. I guess I will have to see the movie to see how his score fits the themes.
My suggestion to Summit is to keep one composer to continue to continuity of the music themes.

I really have enjoyed this score. I like it much better than the Twilight Score. One of my favorites is "New Moon." I recommend any fans that enjoyed the movie to purchase this also! This score has so much emotion in it...very moving.

This is by far the best of the three scores that have been presented for the Twilight series. Unlike Twilight and Eclipse this is a stand alone album that you can listen to and enjoy as beautiful music.
I loved the soundtracks for Twilight and Eclipse but the scores were just background music with the exception of Bella's Lullaby (Twilight) and Jacob's Theme (Eclipse) which you could obtain from purchasing the movie soundtracks.
Alexandre Desplat has done a exceptional job on the New Moon score and should be given the chance to score the final two movies in the Twilight Saga series.
