I find this score relaxing, as I do the Twilight score. To just close the eyes and listen, is a great way to go to sleep at night.

Love it! It pretty mellow and relaxing music... especially love the New Moon (the Meadow) song!!
It's not Carter Burwell like this isn't the first Twilight February 8, 2010

Comparing these two scores are like comparing the scores between the Harry Potter movies but then again like the HP movies, each film had a different feel to it. While I do love Twilight, it's score perfectly fit in with that movie, it was simpler, less grand in a way. When I purchase the soundtrack I immediately fell in love with 'The Meadow', it was instantly recognizable when I heard it used on other programs on TV. I admit, I would have loved to hear what Desplat's version of Bella's Lullaby would be like since I like his style. I think if it were in the style of 'The Meadow' it would have been beautiful. I was so disappointed that there was no piano only version of the lullaby on the original soundtrack.
Basically my point of this review is that I think it matches the movie very well, the feelings and the emotions of it. Perhaps its not quite what people hoped for but to each their own. Just as Burwell's score fits the original movie, this one fits the feeling and the atmosphere of New Moon.

I wasn't as impressed with this Score as I was with the Twilight Score. However, I listen to the soundtrack when I am reading because there are no lyrics and it is nice background music. The music is a nice reminder of the movie and brings back memories at a time when you can't read the New Moon book or watch the movie.
