4 out of 5 stars Great Soundtrack   March 12, 2010
S. Guffey (USA)
I bought this soundtrack because I wanted the song that was played durring Bella's depression - when three months blur together for her. That song ("Possibility" by Lykke Li) is genious for that portion of the movie! So, after listening to that song repeatedly I continued to let the CD play while driving my kids around in the car. Most of the other songs on the CD are great. It doesn't hurt that I love New Moon and tie the songs to the parts they played in the movie. :o) A definite purchase for a New Moon movie fan.

5 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Addictive Album   March 7, 2010
Meggymoo (Seattle, WA)
When a friend told me that the album mostly consisted of alot of Indie music, I was not impressed. That is to say until I purchased the album. The music varies considerably from song to song, but they all have a thread that seems to tie them together well.

I already have been in love with Death Cab for Cutie and Muse, so it was easily given that I would love those songs ("Equinox" & "I Belong to You"). What surprised me is how much I enjoyed the other songs. I had never before heard a solo project song by Thom Yorke (of Radiohead) and from the moment I saw the scene in the movie that corresponds with the song "Hearig Damage" I had to go buy his album. I found other artists that I haven't really given much thought to (or heard of) and have have gone exploring for their own albums and discovered how great these bands are as well (The Killers, Hurricane Bells).

So I feel that I have been taught a valueable musical lesson, do not assume a label defines that you will not like that genre of music. I can officially say thanks to this album, I'm a fan of Indie(!) and I as impressed as I am by this compilation, I look forward to the Eclipse soundtrack which I will purchase without hesitation.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome soundtrack, even for the non Twilight fan   March 1, 2010
S. Winger (Tacoma, WA USA)
Great, great, great soundtrack. I think it's worlds better than the Twilight soundtrack. If you're a music lover you won't be disappointed...even if you're not a fan of the Twilight Saga.

5 out of 5 stars Great Soundtrack   March 1, 2010
L. McCracken (Oklahoma)
Great cd, these some of these songs are just filled with so much pain and loss. I loved the placement in the movie. I listened to this cd before I saw the movie and I thought they were strange and weird. I cant tell you how many times I've listened to these songs. I can't wait for Eclipse.

3 out of 5 stars Sound track is ok. Nothing great.   February 28, 2010
Eddie A. Schmitt (Da Bronx, NY)
The New Moon soundtrack is ok, the Twilight soundtrack from the first movie is much better.
