Great new songs along with some his older more familiar songs updated/remade. November 23, 2008 RAYMOND J. FERNEKES (Middletown, New York) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Jim Brickman never sounded better. His old songs are reworked, and his new ones are excellent... I always enjoy and relax to the sounds and songs he produces. I am a big fan, and anyone else who njoys his music will not be disappointment by this addition to his body of work !
Disappointed... June 17, 2008 Jeeves (Austin, TX) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Disappointed that there is not more new material in here... :( Need some inspiration here... Like the artist, just have these songs already...
Another Great Album by Jim Brickman May 23, 2008 Howard Vollmar 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This CD was great! I love it! Just because some of the songs are old and he revisited them doesn't mean a thing. Hearing the old songs in a new way is great because it makes you want to hear the old versions so you get out your old cds and are listening to them again. Don't you think that might have been what he wanted? Anyways even if you are new to his music don't dismiss this cd just because of some bad reviews. Get it from the library first and see if you like it. It's well worth a listen. I have everyone of Jim's CDs and truthfully I like this one better than some of his other ones. So to end this review don't listen the bad reviews listen to it for yourself and then form your opinion of it. The music is very beautiful and I would reccomend it to anyone.
Great CD... April 9, 2008 Rosalie C. (NY, USA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I just love Jim Brickman's music and the CD is great. The company I ordered it from was very nice and they sent the package promptly without any problems. I will definitely order from them again.
Thank you.
Brickman's Latest A Letdown April 8, 2008 Dickie Boy (Honolulu, Hawaii) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Jim Brickman's latest CD, Valentine, is a letdown as well as a departure from his past efforts. His choice of vocalists ruins and roughens the treatment of his beautiful songs. I would have preferred him singing the songs himself than the harsh vocalists he uses on this CD. The title track "Valentine" is so harch in this iteration. If one bought the sweet and nearly etheral sounding past CDs that were so romantic, this one is harsh....don't want to play most of the selections compared to playing his past releases over and over again!
