Most tracks are produced to turn, presented in the aural equivalent of Technicolor or day-glo, in which colors pop while diverging ever so slightly from nature. In short, although the album offers fresh material, it covers old ground -- but this is exactly what the act's target audience expects and desires. Fans of acoustic folk would likely find the prevailing aesthetic a touch garish, but fans of Sarah Brightman and Il Divo will be diverted and thrilled. I love the Celtic Woman CDs. They are all I listen to in my car. Their voices are so clear and true and I love the orchestration.

Beautiful music! Only wish that EVERY song from the DVD had made it to the CD. : ( ...How about a 2nd try with a two cd set that includes ALL the songs?

My son surprised me with this CD for Christmas after finding it on my Amazon Wish List. I had forgotten that I had added it to my Wish List, but what a great Christmas present it was! Generally I prefer instrumental music, but I also love Irish music, and Celtic Woman has such soothing voices that their music ranks right up there with great instrumentals as far as I am concerned.

I alredy love Celtic music, without a doubt, and although I'm not always a huge fan of modern interpretations of it, I am a fan of David Downes's arrangements. He always has really nice harmonies, and he write for the people that are performing it. At least, it sounds like it. :)
The ladies performing do a wonderful job, too. Mairead is always inspirational. She's just fantastic! Lisa Kelly is a fabulous singer, and so are the others, Hayley, Chloe, Orla and Meav, who has recently become my favorite. I switch around a lot. :) It kind of depends on my mood. Meav is just fantastic on Dulaman. What an incredible range!
Anyway, it's wonderful music for people who like Celtic music or just new music in general. Some of the stuff would fit right in a musical. There's really something for anybody who loves vocal music.
That's it in a nutshell.
