While many hospitals across the country send new mums and babes home equipped with discs of classical music to soothe and gently stimulate babies' tender minds, Ultrasound brings together a delightfully well-rounded set specifically chosen for those still in the womb. Expectant moms will appreciate the effects of the mellow strains of Bach's Suite No. 3, the delicate playfulness of Tchaikovsky's "Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy," and Mozart's proven-to-make-you-smart Sonata for Two Pianos featuring André Previn. Debussy's "Clair de lune" is especially lovely as conducted and fluted by James Galway, and Leontyne Price is a warm blanket of comfort giving voice to Schubert's "Ave Maria." Indeed, these songs are aural balm to both parent and child long after birth. --Paige La Grone

5 out of 5 stars Baby Baby Baby   July 22, 2010
New Grandmom
I purchased this for my daughter-in-law. She finds this CD soothing for both herself and the baby in utero.

5 out of 5 stars Great Music for you and baby!   February 26, 2010

I think the music on here is very good. I love listening to it and my baby enjoys it as well. When I play it, she settles down and seems very attentive or sleep; I really can't tell the difference at this point. Hopefully this CD will have the same affect when she is born.

5 out of 5 stars Great soundtrack   December 28, 2009

I played this cd when I was carrying my son. He is now three and is very smart. He even knows how to add...with his fingers, of course. I think this cd has something to do with it. It's soothing to listen to when you're in bed. I think the baby reacts to it too. There is one song that is a bit louder and at times startles me if I had fallen asleep but overall a great cd.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent bedtime music!!   June 2, 2009

I bought this CD when I was pregnant with my first son. I started listening to it consistently, especially since I was on bedrest. Fast forward 6 years, and he now still asks to listen to his "baby music" for bedtime, and we own many, many clasical CD's, even ones that claim to boost your babies' intelligence! I even asked him if he remembered listening to this CD while in my tummy, and he answered, "Of course, Mommy!" I think his reaction speaks volumes...enjoy!!

I was very pleased with this cd. It is very soothing and calming. I bought it for my daughter and she uses it also for her 21/2 year old to help him sleep in the afternoons. It works.
