4 out of 5 stars Get the Knack Again   April 15, 2001

This the best Knack album since Get the Knack and a must have for all Knack fans. I have visited many CD stores in the past and never have seen this CD on display. Thank you very much Amazon for having this wonderful CD in stock. I saw the band in concert in Puerto Rico on January 2000 and they played many songs from this album, and each one of them was excellent. I hope they come to the New Jersey area real soon.

It is almost mind boggling that an album this good cannot find its way onto today's wasteland of radio programming. In the days before you had to be a felon (or sing about becoming one) to attain airplay, songs like these filled the airways. Well there's no accounting for taste. This Knack album proves that like fine wine, D. Fieger's ability to pen great pop songs just has gotten stronger over time. 'Pop is Dead', 'Can I Borrow a Kiss', and especially 'In Blue Tonight' are songs as good as you may ever hope to hear. Do yourself a favor. Pony up the few bucks for this CD. Believe me, its cheap at twice the price. Enjoy the fact that sensational records like this one are still available somewhere (thanks Amazon!)

I was an eighth grader when Get The Knack came out and the catchy, almost early Beatlesque sound was what was appealing to me. Evidently, like wine, time can improve a band's ability, that and replace your drummer with a drumming legend, Terry Bozzio, who probably came closest to popular notice in Missing Persons with his then wife Dale Bozzio, but more noteworthy was Bozzio's progressive rock carrer, unfortunatly less know to the popular masses, having occupied the drum throne in UK, Jeff Beck, Lonely Bears and Frank Zappa as well as numerous other incredible ensembles. The tunes on this CD are catchy and pop filled and more accomplished than their chart topping debut. I hope that their return will yield another CD, but if you are looking for another Sharona, it's not on this release.

In the present popular mode of fad pop and one hit wonders, this effort may be missed by the masses and as of yet has eluded the rotation on AOR (I guess should actually be COR now (CD Oriented Radio). A cool release it is, none the less !
