Album Description
Here is a collection of some of my favorite children's songs covering my many years of being a dad. I consider these mostly classic compositions, beautiful and simple; some written for movies, some haunting standards and a few written by contemporary singers for their own children. Of all the things my kids and I have done together, the quiet times of night-songs and bedtime snuggles will endure as my most precious memories. I can still see Crosby's face as a little one begging me for "more, Daddy, more, more" of "Winnie The Pooh" (as he called it), or rocking Cody to "To-Ra-Loo-Ra" (if he didn't fall asleep before we made it to his bedroom). And it's not over yet. I'm still singing to Isabella and on into the future to Luke. And I'm loving it. They're my best audience, even if my only applause is the deep slow breathing of a sleeping baby. Delicious. So at long last, the work of a lifetime. Here are the songs I sing to my children...should I say "part one"?

This is my absolute favorite for a contemporary cd to use for young children at bedtime or to relax in the car. I have given it to many expecting moms and dads as a part of my shower or baby gift. We also use it at our Preschool for a naptime lullaby. Kenny Loggins did a great job on this one and it is timeless!

I first heard this cd when my nephew was a baby, 13 years ago. I listened to it, misty eyed and fell in love (with my nephew and this cd). When I found out I was pregnant, about three years ago, I went in search of this cd. It stayed with me for 10 years--I could not forget it. When I finally had it and played it again for my own baby boy, I lost it. It moves me even more today as a parent than it did 13 years ago. Now for a cd to stay with you for that long says something! I absolutely love this DC "Return to Pooh Corner". This CD and Kenny Loggins other Pooh CD are the only 2 that will quiet my new granddaughter. I absolutely recommend either of them. I find myself playing them after a stressful day at the office as well. Kenny Loggins CD's are at the top of my baby shower and baby gift list. So glad I could find them on Amazon.

I didnt keep any of the paper work or CD, tossed it all.
